Dixie Roundup Rodeo Shoot

This is the big one. Held annually at the Dixie Sun Bowl next to the college. The Lion's Dixie Sunbowl is located at 100 S and 400 E St. Let's meet at the gate. Gates open at 6:00 PM. Entertainment from 6:00 to 7:30. General Admission $8; reserved seating is $12.

Zion Riverside Walk Shoot

Once this trail was called Gateway to the Narrows, but now the popular name is Riverside Walk. This 2 mile round trip hike begins at the farthest end of Zion Canyon, the Temple of Sinawava. This well traveled path ends where the world renowned Zion Narrows Trail begins. The hike is a walk on a paved path with little change in elevation. The ease and beauty of this hike is the reason for its popularity.

Gathering place is the at the Hurricane Wal*Mart parking lot in front of the garden center. We will car pool from there. Please be on time at 6:00 AM.

Glow set up begins as the sun sets. Balloons glow once it is dark about 9:15 p.m.

Historic Mormon Landmarks of St. George Daybreak Shoot

This shoot will traverse all of major Mormon architectural landmarks of St. George. We'll start before sunrise doing some night and twilight photography. We pan to spend about 45-miniutes at each site; but we'll play it by ear once we arrive on site. Here what we have planned:

• St. George Temple (initial gathering place)
• St George Tabernacle
• Brigham Young Winter Home
• Jacob Hamblin Home (Santa Clara)

SWU Shoots Planning & Critique Meeting

We will gather at Deb Bice's home for some planning of future shoots as well as a photo critique session. All are welcome to bring several digital files (PSD, TIF, or JPG) on thumb drives or CD's to share. They can be from SWU Shoots or recent independent work. Bring anything you want to discuss and get feedback on.
